Credentials

I completed the Python Techdegree with Team Treehouse. I developed five class projects for the degree. Each project has optional advanced requirements in order to receive an 'Exceeds Expectations' grade. This is the grade I received for all projects.

Skills

I have built several websites using Django. I learned this framework because I thought it would be the best tool to develop the application that I have designed for my care home. The first programming language that I learned was Python. I regularly use JavaScript in order to enhance website interactivity and am proficient with HTML and CSS. I am eager and ready to learn additional tools.

I am an experienced public speaker and I have developed strong communication skills through professional roles in my work history. I also speak Spanish at an intermediate level.

Hobbies

I only bring up my hobbies because I think they paint a bit of a picture of my way of thinking. I am motivated to be creative but I tend to think about things in a technical way. I am a bass player, photographer, and I really enjoy chess. I think all of these interests, along with computer programming, involve problem solving and technical ability, but also asthetics and creative production. I hope this is reflected in the programs and websites that I create.

Goals

I am looking forward to working full-time as a computer programmer. I enjoy learning and anticipate building skills and learning new tools in order to be productive in this profession.
